Photographer's Note

First of all, i want to apologize for the dark lighting, we went here late in the evening hoping for some good blue hour shots, but it just didn't turn out that way for us. The large rock faced cliff blocked the light.

Here we are in St. John's, the capital city of Newfoundland. Please don't think that ALL the houses and ALL the people here live like this! This is just one little area, known as "The Battery" in the oldest part of the city.

I was born and raised in Newfoundland, growing up on the east coast of Canada. And although i now live on the farthest west coast in vancouver, this is and always will be my true home.

The negative side of living in the 2nd largest country in the world is that there are alot of misconceptions among Canadians living in far away provinces and cities.
Alot of western canadians truly believe most Newfoundlanders live on the rocks like in this photo, and thats just the way it is! When infact, St. John's has all the same luxuries as any other major canadian city.
There is for some strange reason, alot of canadians thinking Newfoundland is like a 2nd world nation with poor living conditions...argh!!!!!! I get angry just thinking about it.

Thanks for allowing me to vent, i feel better now!
I'll just relax and look at my photos, and all of yours on TE aswell. Sigh.
