South Thompson River

Our first full day in Canada started with lots and lots of rain. First in the afternoon the weather improved gradually. This photo was taken near the city of Kamloops, British Columbia. It shows some of the houses and their reflections along and in the South Thompson River, located to the east of the city. The South Thompson River is 58 km long. It flows from Little Shuswap Lake to Kamloops, where it joins the North Thompson River to become the Thompson River. Kamloops is a city in southern British Columbia and has got about 90,000 inhabitants.
