Photographer's Note

Parthenon is the biggest and the most official building of Acropolis. Its construction started in 447b.C. by Iktinos and Kallikratis and ended in 438b.C., in the next year�s ceremony of Panathinaia it was dedicated to Minerva. But till the 432 b.C there was left jobs that are taken place. It has a Doric rhythm, 8 columns in the narrow sides and 17 in the wide sides. The column high is by 10,5 meter and on them are the epistles, metopes, triglyph, entablature, cornice, gable. The frieze was representing the ceremony of Panathinaia.
The main temple was separated in 3 parts by 2 cross doric columns. The middle part was the bigger and in it was placed the famous gold statue of Minerva which was made by Feidias in 338b.C. The ninety-two metopes inside are representing battles of Giant, Amazons and Centaurs and from Troika war.
