Cottage in Cluj, a photo from Cluj, West

Photographer's Note

Came across this little gem of a cottage on highway E60, one of the main routes west out of Romania. I put in under architecture, because I think someone still lives there. But then I put it under ruins also just because it is! for me it emphasises Romanias timelesness. It's on a main truck route with the world at it's doorstep yet this pic could have been taken 200 years ago. Hope you like it.

This is an inviting view of a charming cottage. Very nice village atmosphere with such beautiful pastel tones of blue on its walls! The fences and tree add a lot, partly to the horizontal framing, partly to the atmosphere. TFS,

That is excellent photo! Well done!

The things I liked:
- POV, composition and colors (the branches of tree off-center, covering the house from the side and the top, also the background having different tones from the two)
- sharpness (no blur, no softness)

Very nice shot with this strange blue house. The compo is cool... i like the saturated colors. Maybe you have to use more POF (F 6.3/F 7.0) with this objective to have more details.

The blue in this house is so beautiful!
It matcehs perfectly to the colours of the roof. These colours you can see in the trees as well.
A fairy-tale composition.

I don't know who took this shot so you'll have to be referred to as 'guys.' :-) Lovely image with unusual but fantastic colour on the walls. This is the sort of place I'd buy and see out the rest of my days in, shame about the main road being so close though, but it looks so peaceful with the woods behind ready to be explored that I'd probably still buy it. A fine capture guys, well done and good luck in your new life.

The colours of the building are stunning and are greatly enhanced by the natural setting, someone sitting on the bench would have really finished off the shot but its a cracker anyway, it must be the multitude of tones of blue and red. Superb

It resembles a painting. The lighting or colour on the cottage exterior wall is great! The fall leaves are super within this composition...I could go on and on. Perfect photo!

I was just searching if there were anymore photos from Ciucea on trekearth.com. There was just one more and a nice one too.

A very nice photo indeed. You managed to blend in harmony the blue and white (without overexposing) on the walls. You've probably saturated the colors a little but that's not a problem. The contrast between the roof tile orange and the faded blue fits perfectly in the composition. And all the fascination of colour found on the house blends in with the surrounding late autumn greys and browns.

Once again, really nice!
