Photographer's Note

I've posted a couple of shots of this structure, but I wanted to get a few different angles, as it's such an impressive edifice. Located in the heart of the old town of Independence, MO, it's situated on Independence Square at Main and Maple Street. It's also on the US National Register of Historic Places. There are no longer county offices, but some tax services are still offered here. The others have moved to the Annex a few blocks away. This structure is mostly of historical interest now, with a visitor's center and the Jackson County Historical Society occupying space here. The structure was restored recently, both to address structural issues and to renovate President Harry Truman's office and courtroom, which are open to the public with a guided tour.
