Photographer's Note

Alaska is a big place and that is the feel I get with this pic. The Black bear combing the beach is tiny in comparison to the back drop. Here in these waters are an abundance of wild life. From my vantage about the tour boat at the moment this picture was taken, I had to struggle with what to shoot. To the left was a tidewater glacier with an assortment of seals. In front is this waterfall with the bear and gulls feeding on the beach. To my right is growler ice with more seals and a sea lion or two to boot. In the trees one can see bald eagle roost and comorants skim the waves.
