Photographer's Note

South of the Central Alaska Range it was raining cats and dogs, the Northern slopes of Mt McKinley (6145m / 20400 feet) however were nearly without clouds, a typical situation, when the cyclone brings the wet Pacific air from the South towards the high mountain ridge. Trusting to the local people, we went for a sightseeing flight and it paid off. At 5000m / 15000 feet started to build these extraordinary cumuli formation. On the picture there is view towards ENE and in the foreground there is the Carpe Ridge. Mt McKinley began to uncover very slowly, but surely. Stay tuned.
