Photographer's Note

Big Springs is an attraction in Island Park, it is where a largish river just pops up out of the ground.

This river combines with others in the vicinity to feed the Snake River that eventually ends up in the Columbia River.

What isn't well seen is the huge trophy sized rainbow trout in the crystal clear water. This area is closed to fishing, and by my judge from mosquitoes the fish are well fed!

This is a full 180 degree panorama, from the bridge that crosses the river about 50 meters from the source of the water. I used 4 vertical exposures with a 10mm lens and stitched them together using Hugin to create the image.
