Photographer's Note

Visiting the Cave Creek Regional Park, I headed for the Go John Trailhead intending to do the loop in a counterclockwise direction. However, I started up the trail through the north entrance which sent me clockwise on the trail. That proved to be a lucky mistake as, while ascending the trail I was presented with a Christmas present, the moon descending over Overton Mountain. Cranking my zoom out to 300mm, I took the photo from which this image is cropped. Looking at it now, and knowing I didn't merge two photos, I realize I often jump to the conclusion that a large moon means the image has been PhotoShopped from two or more photos. I'll now need to do more assessing before I can form that opinion.
