Photographer's Note

I've been enjoying visiting the central business district in the town where I live with camera in hand. Folks familiar with my work on TE have seen a number of photos taken along San Anselmo Avenue. I add to that collection today with this offering.

San Anselmo is a quaint, upscale community with an abundance of antique furniture shops, art galleries, jewelers, restaurants, clothing stores, a couple of bookstores, including one specializing in rare books. Added to that mix recently, is Dogville, a store that specializes in everything you need for your dog. Certainly there are pet stores in the region, but to my understanding, this is the first store to cater exclusively to dogs.

Obviously, I'm not much interested in the store, though the title makes a nice addition to this photo. I was caught by these two boys with their dog waiting for a mother in the store who appeared after this was taken. I don't know about the rest of the world, but in this country there is a special connection between boys and their dogs. Golden Labrodors such as the one in the photo hold a special place because of their friendliness. Here one boy is attending to his dog while the other attends to his ball. This has the makings of great fun, no doubt, though waiting on a sidewalk downtown definitely diminishes possibilities. But the boy with the ball is doing his best, even as I did with my camera. Hope you enjoy the effort.
