Photographer's Note

I've been posting shots of Old Town St Augustine for the last couple weeks. Most have been of specific places or buildings, so I thought that this broader view would help sort of tie things together somewhat.

I took this from the Castillo De San Marco. This is looking south towards Avenida Menendez, which is St. Highway A1A. To the left, you can see the sea wall that has protected the town for 160 years. You can also see the spot where yesterdays posting was shot. To the right is the waterfront of old town, where a number of the historic old homes have been converted to Inns or B&B's.

If you look closely you can also "see" the wind, or at least the effects of it on the trees, water and peoples hair.
