Photographer's Note

When the tide goes out at Ocean Grove beach, it goes out a long way. You can see how shallowly the sea floor slopes by the distance the wave have to travel in to the shore.

In this shot I have tried to give the impression I got of the width of the 'skiffle board' zone - the part of the beach where the water is less than ankle deep.
