Photographer's Note

In the next few posts I will posting images of the most amazing scenery and patterns flying over Australia in a Quatas Airbus 380. The average speed was 550mph and the altitude was 12000 meters.

They were taken through the double/ treble window of a seat just behind the wing on the starboard side.. so please excuse the poor quality in some especially as the light was getting low.

May be just share in the beauty of the patterns and the desolate countryside

We flew diagonally from Sydney and jst to left of Darwin - it took 4.5 hours and in that time we saw two Cities -- Sydney and Alice Spings - This is a vast continent.

I was able to monitor my position by the "flight Path screen" on the back of the seat in front of me. It is not accurate so if anyone can give me more detail it will be appreciated.

This photo was taken over Norther Teritory after miles and miles of desert- a really chocolate brown desert.. More to come over the next few weeks.. enjoy.. I did - I clicked away for 4 hours to the annoyance of those around me- but I did not want to loose out on such a unique opportunity.
