Photographer's Note

BURRA is an old mining town in the middle of nowhere..... however the local residents are working very well in preserving the old buildings which have historical value. So in reality it is a pleasant stop over to see the town and appreciate the hard live of the workers there 140 years ago.
What I like about these buildings are the colourful walls built using local sandstone. Convict labour was used extensively to build a lot of the important public buildings in order to get this new country going.
