Photographer's Note

This is the last posting from my revisit to our Western Australian 16,000km road trip.
The photo is actually from South Australia on the way home and is a follow up from one I posted a few years ago of one of Australia's monolith rocks, the very little visited Pildappa Rock. It isn't far from the town of Mannipa on the Eyre Hwy so I don't know why it doesn't get more publicity.
Whilst not as large as Uluru it is still impressive (see the other photo in the Mannipa folder to get an idea). This view is from on top of the rock looking out across the extensive flat farmlands that surround it.
In the workshop is one of Australia's most spectacular wild flowers that grows near the rock - a Sturt Desert Pea.

Best in the large view.
