Photographer's Note

This is the spot where the deep part of Dales Gorge in Karijini NP starts. The waterfall, quiet now, in the very dry (mid year) season has carved out a deep pool below the high cliffs. The hot summer season is just plain hot and mostly dry and not a time for visiting. Sometimes the remnants of a cyclone reaches this far inland to feed the creeks.
In the middle of the year days are warm but being a long way inland (about 600km) it does get quite cold at night. We stayed in tented accommodation and had to ask for an extra blanket.

Best in the large view.
