Photographer's Note

The Great Ocean Road was build across some of Victoria's most rugged and beautiful coastal scenery. It was built as a memorial to the dead of the first world war and to provide work for former servicemen. The whole road was made through rough and rocky countryside by hand with no heavy machinery at all.The Southern ocean pounds the sandstone cliffs of Victoria producing magnificent coastal scenery. These two rocks are part of a group known as The Twelve Apostles although there are only nine of them. These two are called Peter and Paul.
