Photographer's Note

The Duke's Nose or Kairara Rocks are a fromation of conglomerate/breccia found in the Western Arm of Whangaroa Harbour.
Named due to the similarity with The Iron duke, The Duke of Wellington.
Many places in Whangaroa were named by colonial europeans in the 1800's.
It always looks to me more like Benjamin Franklin. Maybe if this place was settled by Americans it may be Benjamins Nose.
