Iquique - Casino Espańol, a Spanish splurge

The Casino Espańol was built in 1904 for the Spanish community in Iquique and a real ‘splurge’ possible in the economically favorable times of the saltpeter mining.
It was built on the central historic Plaza Prat and its interior is completely in Moorish style.

Today it is a restaurant and a club.
I have not eaten there (above my budget) but by just asking I was allowed to visit the ground floor and to take pictures.

See two more pictures in the workshop.

Strange but the title of this picture doesn't appear under the thumbnail on the beta-version of this site. Anyone knows how I can change that?
