Hi friends in TE,

This image was captured in the evening during my day trip to an island (Pulau Dayang Bunting)in Langkawi archipelago. This small boat left in a hurry heading for the main island before the storm reaching the area.

Pulau Dayang Bunting, or the Isle of the Pregnant Maiden, is the second largest island in the archipelago. The island gets its name from a legend that surrounds the freshwater lake, Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden) The large lake, set in tranquil surroundings is suitable for swimming. Its waters are also said to possess magical powers that will enable barren women to bear children if they drink water from the lake.

Gua Langsir (Cave of the Banshee) is believed by the locals to be haunted by a banshee. There are thousands of bats that make their home in the cave and that, according to some, is the reason behind the 'haunting'. The cave is very heavily forested and sits on top of a limestone hill towering 91 metres above sea level, on the island's west coast.

Dayang Bunting has impressive limestone hills and most of the island is still covered by dense forest. A jetty has been constructed near the lake to enable the boat to drop its visitors off and tourists normally alight here before heading off to the cave, which is about eight kilometres to the north.

Hello Jusni,
A very interesting looking capture, the dark sky contrasting against the small colourful boat works very well.
The panoramic composition is perfect, all of the details are presented in a way which is very pleasing to the eye.

Nice moody clouds and well composed. However, you really need to pull back on the saturation levels of the reds and yellows on the boat. It stands out too much. Otherwise an excellent image.

Hi Jusni,
Very dramatic threatening sky looming over the beautiful turquoise waters of this lovely bay.
It looks like they need to hurry as I would rather take my chances with the Banshee than the impending storm.

Impressive composition Jusni, appreciate your timing here to get the curvature. The light is perfect, you caught it at the boat. The clouds is a bonus here. Excellent.

When you take this lens to the wide open sea, I really do not know if there is any more limit to the vast water and sky. You can literally shoot 360degree of the earth and stitch them up!

I see this wide view in fact allows a variation of brightness and tone from left to right. The sun or your special skill? A great composition of the boat ride on the water and using the color tones for a good feature.

at first I thought that the detail on the boat is overexposed, but after a closer look I see that it is not, just very bright :) great shot, such a drama from the dark water and dark clouds, and the C-curve of the wake from the boat creates an impression of a fast movement, as if the boat was trying to outrun the storm. good timing and very impressive result, my compliments.

Looking at your picture you have to ask yourself does the captain really know that there will be bad weather or he just is returning to the resort? The boat give the extra punch to shot, the great DOF and superb colors. A perfectly framed upcoming storm
