Photographer’s Note
On two days of the week we stayed in Cornwall we walked parts of the Southwest Coast Path. It is a 630miles National Trail starting at Minehead in Somerset and going right round the Southwest’s north and south coasts to Poole in Dorset on the south coast.
Staying at Mevagissey, that was our starting point each time. This photo was taken as we were heading west to Gorran Haven. Chapel Point is a narrow peninsula clearly visible from Mevagissey. The small bay in the foreground is Colona Bay.
The map coordinates are only approximate for Chapel Point, but when you look at the map it is easy to see roughly where I was standing to take the photo.
Chapel Point from a different POV is in the WS

Bonjour Kath
Un joli cliché de cette belle nature avec des couleurs bien saturées. Elle est pleine de vie avec le mouvement des vagues.
Merci pour le partage et bon dimanche.

Hello Kath,
A very attractive seascape with lovely light and natural colours. I like the view across the cove with the incoming tide breaking on the beach. The composition has a very pleasing balance to it with the foreground rocks giving a great sense of depth.

Hi Kath
Nice little corner of the UK, the coast alone is already dramatic but in addition you had that bit of stormy light to enhance it even further, I enjoy such lights a lot.
Have a nice sunday JY

Hello Kath,
Un bord de mer qui nous entraîne vers des contrées lointaines. La compo est bien vue avec ces maisons sur cette petite presqu'île. Le temps gris est quelque peu tourmenté nous plonge dans l'ambiance des lieux.

Hi Kath
A superb seascape, with the 'c' shape of the cove, providing marvellous lead in lines, around the shore. Good colour, sharpness & saturation. Tfs!

Hello Kath -
Lovely scene! IMO the sky makes this scene. The sky indicates either a coming storm or one just past but either way it adds a bit a drama. The saturated colors against the white buildings is also a draw to the eye. Well seen and presented.
Thank you for sharing.

Hello Kath,
This composition is organized well, due to a well chosen framing and to the good balance between the sky, the sea and the coastal landscape with the nice white houses.
The luminosity and the colors are managed well, the image has a good level of visual attraction, and I like specially the dynamism that create the waves and its foam.
Beautiful work.
Best wishes,
Josep

Hi Kath,
A wonderful picture. I love all the exciting lines and curves. I am glad that you did not give way to the temptation to show us where the land tongue ends. I am sure this perspective is much better. TFS and have a nice Sunday evening!

Bonjour Kath,
Regards and cheers.

Hi Kath,
You've framed delightful layers of detail in your composition: Green ferns, rock fingers, white-capped wavelets curving onto the little beach, more rock, green, water and than that wonderful explosion of clouds above the point!!
Naturally, sharpness and color are perfect since it's your work. Looks like the four of you had a lovely trip.

Hi Kath,
Splendid capture! The breaking waves lead the eye into the scene nicely. The interesting and dramatic sky creates a nice mood in this fine view. An excellent example of how to get a masterful capture even with bad weather without sun ;) It is a plecsure looking at this. Congratulations!

Hello Kath
Very nice! There's quite a lot of 'white' here, of the surf & of the houses in the BG. Fine contrast with the green both in the FG as well in the peninsula. The darkish sky also adds to the picture, with the radiating clouds. Good work!

Dear Kath
I guess that must be a typical English countryside scene: deep green vegetation, white houses and a bit of choppy sea. That should not be a stereotype at all. It looks nice with a lot of fresh air. Pollution must be far away. The little bay boosts DOF tremendously while sharpness is fine. I like it, well done
Best regards

Oh Kath, what a wonderful treat! Your image is superbly composed, with the lines of cirrus fanning out above the strong forms of the pines, and the light and colors are awesome. But beyond its quality, your image brings back many childhood summers spent in and around Mevagissey -- and Gorran Haven --many decades ago!
We walked the cliffs on most days. Sadly, I have never walked all round the Cornish coast as my father did, twice, before he married. I hope that now it has official status it is still wild and, at least at some times of year, empty.

Hi Kath,
These are really British colours. This sentence came to my mind because a few minutes ago I was looking at pictures of the Cape Verde coast. "Verde" means "green", as you maybe know, and that's a feature of the Britain and Ireland shores, but not in Cape Verde Islands.
The WS is also really beautiful.
Greetings from hot Portugal (35şC in Lisbon),

Hello Kath,
You know, this feels more like a painting than a photograph, to me, possibly because of the quality of the sky, but not absolutely sure!
Love your pov which defines the action of the sea, eating away, in a soft curve, at the land.
A lovely balanced shot with fine details of vegetation and local architecture, to help the viewer develop a clear impression of the area.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Kath,
Still much of similarities with our Breton landscapes this photograph, I like much the wild side and vivifying place. The balance of framing is very appreciable and the sky brings a good relief. Pretty glance, thank you Kath… After a pleasant month of holidays much of photographs to be seen !!!
With all my friendships and a very good end-of-day,
