View from the top Photo

Photographers Note

During my short stay in Porto, I walked just to the top of the magnificent bridge which connects the city to the other side of the river Douro. The view is absolutely wonderful. Although is quite a straight up climb !
The wine cellars are on this side of the river and the old boats are waiting to carry the barrels of this splendid wine, a treasure of the human work as it is the porto wine.

Hi Roser,Another of your views from above,you like to climb and have been rewarded here.The composition is spot on, and its an image with much detail, the lines of sherry boats and rooftops stand out and look particularly good. I think trying to include so much in the photo has caused difficulties,I refer to the high contrast lighting on one side and deep shadow on the other.The camera has exposed for the centre correctly at the cost of the sides,an impossible situation to control.Thanks Tom.

Spectacular view nicely captured and executed with fine light and contrast management, congrats Roser, despite the shot with side light from the sun you have produced a great shot with almost no flows except that I would had cropped or better held the camera a bit more to the left, to avoid the sunbeams at the right. There are plenty of details to observe like the boats or the traffic. Also the sharpness is fine - well done

Bonjour,
belle photo de cette vue de la côte de Porto, lieu ou le vin est trčs bon(dégustation sur place délicieuse)
Jolies couleurs, belle vue un peu lumineuse sur la droite mais la réverbération donne un air argenté a l' eau a cet endroit.
Trčs bon POV, la vue est superbe a cet endroit.

Hola Roser,
el teu punt de vista era genial, la perspectiva vertiginosa es fa notar.
Has intentat controlar la difícil llum amb un correcte equilibri de l'exposició, sense grans distorsions, i el resultat és molt agradable.
M'agrada l'efecte grŕfic de la línia de velles barques que encara transporten l'or líquid d'aquesta ciutat única.
Devies fer un tastet, oi?
Porto, bon vi i bona foto.
