Pantokratoras Sunset Photo

Photographers Note

Sunset photo take on the beach, close to Pantokratoras Castle, looking at the Ionian Sea, on the backside of the town of Preveza. Preveza is located on a relatively narrow strip of land, between the Ionian Sea and the Ambracian ("Αμβρακικός"="Amvrakikos") Gulf.

TECHNICAL INFO:
Lowered manually the ISO settings to 50, used a small aperture (f/22), a polarizer, an ND 4 (2 stop down) filter and a tripod for a 30 seconds shot.

wow, what a fine scenery, from a place i also know very well.. about fourty kilometers northwards, the village of Loutsa, has been our holiday-destination several times.. it´s real a great area with uncounted beaches along the shoreline..

Hi Hercules, today I was showing my sister some of your work. She has travelled to Greece alot. She said something I found interesting, that although you have one of the most beautiful countries in the world to photograph, your amazing photographs are truly a gift back to that magical country you come from. Stunning sunset with rich colours and dynamic clouds. Lovely reflection too. The horizon troubles me slightly as it's just above the middle - it might have been better to lower yourself slightly to get in on the upper third line or have it right in the middle.

Magnifica foto con excelentes colores en el cielo y un gran reflejo.
En estos momentos estoy en un crucero por tu bello pais, ayer estabamos en Atenas, hoy fuimos a un sitio precioso llamado Monemvasia y estamos en estos momentos camino a Santorini, luego al dia siguiente el barco se para en la isla de Corfu.
No he podido hacer criticas a las fotos, el internet en el barco es carisimo pero si queria enviarte un saludo desde tu precioso pais.

hi, Hercules,
can't tell how you "freeze" this unreal moment. it comes out "unbelieveable" colorful! that's why i admire to wake up early or stay late to catch either sunrise or sunset. hopefully i can see a sunset like this, at least once in my life! thanks to motivate a photographer to chasing his goal!
