Another winter landscape, here we see the ultramodern ferry terminal of Merenwijk-Warmond line, services temporally halted due to the weather conditions. No casinos and duty free shops on board though, travel time 5 min, pedestrians 0.50E, bicycles 1.00E ;)

The color original is in the WS. The trees and grass were indeed white from hoar frost, this is NOT a conversion trick or an infrared shot!

Hi Alexander!
B&W creates a nice infrared effect here,I like it,and thew composition too.
An excellent foreground with this diagonal bridge and a nice view at the trees and the windmill un the distance.

Amazing b/w treatment makes this look like a negative... almost. I believe you. It's just a dramatic b/w treatment. I like the composition, which places the jetty at a pleasing angle, and the clump of grass nicely opposing the trees in the upper left corner. Nice view of that windmill across the water.

I thought it was infra-red shot, although the composition is excellent ,I do prefer the color version.

Bonjour Alexander,
une note interessante car je croyais qu'il s'agissait bien d'une photo infrarouge. Bref, le beauté du givre sur les arbres n'est plus ŕ démontrer, le spectacle est féérique. Un polarisant qui a sans doute joué son rôle au niveau du ciel.
Excellent POV et cadrage.

The photograph color is superb but it is true that this treatment in black and white, of a very beautiful smoothness, gives a more intense feeling of coldness. I like much the management of the lights. A success this black and white, Alexander cheer.
