Photographer's Note

After my previous photo of Dawes Glacier which was taken from our small ship we took to skiffs to get up close to the glacier.
See the workshop for a photo including the skiffs - that photo also gives you an idea of scale.
The sun had now come out so that the top of the glacier had very pale blues whilst the face of the glacier which was still in the shade had amazing deep blues.
Towards the left you can see the sun causing an ice arch to glow.

Both photos have much better detail in the large versions.
