Photographer’s Note
Welcome to the Montreal botanical garden.
Today is a hot and muggy day,so all the shaded spot were welcome.
Lots of beautiful sights, but mostly the perfume were overwhelming, coming from the azales, the lilacs, the peonies, the irises and more.It was sublime.
This fall is in the alpine garden.
This picture was taken in mid afternoon under a blazing sun.To obtain an exposure time of 1.5sec,I had to use my polarizer and 3ND superposed filters(the 2,4and8X).
Hope you enjoy it.Your comments are always welcome.

Hi Charles,
Daniel.

Wooow, not a bad shot at all, considering the amount of light you had to deal with, Charles. But you cleverly used filters to get a desired result and the outcome is more than pleasant!
Very realistic and natural colours!
Well done,
Robi

Very lovely composition. the falls make nice lines that lead the eye around and contrast nicely with the darker foliage. I like!

A peaceful scene, well rendered. Although the sky is rather washed, the beauty of this spot is well portrayed, as well as its peacefulness. The water is especially well done here, Charles. The brown and green tones blend well for a prosaic ambience...Nicely done. Regards from the west coast. John.

Hi Charles. You sure made great use of the ND filters and did well with the long exposure. I don't mind the sky being burned out in favor of the flow in the water. That's one advantage of a DSLR being able to go to f24 or even higher to reduce the need for a ND filter, although I did just buy one. Nice one from the Montreal Botanical Garden!

Bonjour Charles,

Hi Charles, A nice shot. I like the long exposure to smooth out the moving water. You have used the filter wisely to have the long exposure while the scenery is showing beautifully in the picture. A well taken picture with sharpness and depth.

Hi Charles,
you did a very beautiful composition and effect in this waterfall. The time exposure was perfect to get the water movement.
Maybe the central zone of the sky is little bit too bright, but it is very difficult to capture the perfect light in all the scene with 1.5s. and with the sunlight. Very good work. Congratulations.
Best regards.

Hello Charles,
Could be a little overexposed the sky but is the momment and not the person that take the shot. It's a picture against light conditions and for me is very well captured. No necessary WS because is also a difficult way to share or say something. Good contrast, sharpness and you got it in a great way.
Very well composed, framed and seen!
Best to you.
