Photographers Note

This photograph was taken in Talsari, Orissa. As a tourist spot it is not so famous like Digha, a coastal area little further from it. I visited Talsari three times before it. I like its solitude. I like the simple life of the fishermen, their daily life. This picture shows their daily life. After finishing their fishing, they were carrying the net, its a heavy one and requires almost ten no of people to carry it. At noon the spread the net over coast for drying and repairing it. The availability offish is not so abundant now. By this profession they cannot earn an extra bit, so poverty goes along with their fate.
Talsari is about 190 km away from Kolkata,the capital of West Bengal. Those who love solitary place, Talsari is a ideal one. For staying there is a Panthasala where u can stay at night with a minimum charge. The hotel is now expanding its capacity to accommodate more people.

well spotted one... this brings me to think there is some action going on... which i like mostly in photographs..good POV actually.. i think there is some scanning problem.. rest are ok.

Wooowwww! That looks really heavy! Goor shot because you can feel the weight on these men's shoulders just by looking at the photo. I like the way you composed the picture with action leading out from the bottom corner. I just regret that the horizon in the back is not straight. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day.

I dint think its a bad image but a very good one actually
Your POV is very good and very informational
We see the workers as you call them and the amount
We see the have load of the nets
We see where they are going to.

Image quality(colors)could be fixed with Photoshop but it would look great in B&W too
