Photographer's Note

Just an ordinary morning. Under the blinding neon lights of the corner laundromat, a man is already folding his clothes at 7:30 am. Sipping his hot coffee from the paper cup while mechanically folding and sorting with his hands, he is jolted from his dreams back to this world we call real. Still, the colours, the noises, the traffic that passes on the street appear a bit chimerical and fictitious, after the dream that was so vivid, so alive--so real.

"I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke. Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?"
Chuang Tzu, c. 250 BC
