In Canada we celebrate Remembrance Day on November 11th each year to honor our solders from WW1 and WW2. The RCMP look so striking in their red uniforms. Each Officer has a Poppy in their hat.

I like the red-coats, so mythic...
I don't care about the technical part of a good reportage-photo, I appreciate more the learning-part of a picture from a distant country like Alberta.

Hi Janice - welcome to TE, because of the midday light, there is a strong light contrast that made the faces too bright, but quite nice first post, and those uniforms are totally cool, I actually have a pair of those boots.

Very colorful picture Janice. I really like the uniform of the RCMP. I guess I am a fan of the force. Nice capture of this memorable moment. It makes me realize how important our history really is.
