Photographers Note
Awaiting sunrise atop Whistler Mountain.
Just finished breakfast, and looking forward to the runs opening up. Fresh Tracks- first ones on the mountain.
I'm flying back to Canada July 8th, and looking forward to spending a few days in Whistler- seeing what the summer has to offer...
Click on the above image for the LARGE POST!
The image is comprised of 7 different shots, taken hand-held with my compact Canon Powershot S50.

Wonderful image, especially for the colour of the light spreading through the landscape, well done!!
The blue of the early morning, and the red of the sun coming out at the horizon.

Dan,
This is a cool blue-toned landscape, thanks for sharing. Could you explain how to make clickable images linking for a large version?
Thanks,
Catalin

Dan thanks for the Whistler theme posting. I like the canopy of clouds over the area on the right. I am sure the whole area is incredible to see in the summer. Lots of trails and lakes to check out. Good work Dan..nice pan details!

What gorgeous blue/purple glowing color on the snow. The sun coming over the horizon is beautiful, wonderful panorama with the cloud bank hanging in the valley. Good stitching them all together, well done.

This is an incredible shot, especially considering that it is a composite of 7 different shots. I like the cold blue colour of the snow, really giving the impression of cold, with the warmth of the sunrise coming and all the potential of the new day. Great work!
Only 3 weeks before you get back to Canada - how long are you here for?

What an awesome view Dan! Seven shots hand held, how do you do it! I have trouble with two shots taken using a tripod!

Hi Dan
well here I am in sunny Kitsilano - already had my first photo session - I woke at four this morning and toured the city on foot for a good four hours before breakfast!!
I just decided not to go to Whistler today but chill out and do my bits and bobs of work here and just focus on being in Van and doing my work - I'm going to be recording an event here this coming week.
This decision is of course made difficult by your decision to post this image which now beguiles me to overnight in Whistler instead. Very nice!!!

Hi Dan,
Amazing shot and well done since it's comprised of 7 different shots! I love the blue-purple tone to this photo and when you click the enlarged version you can really see the distant mountains peaking through the clouds. Great composition, beautiful details and so well captured! Well done, Dan!
Greetings,
Ann
PS: Whistler in the summer is awesome, especially if you take the gondola up to the Roundhouse. From there several amazing hiking trails await you! I love hiking up there. You are going to Canada on the day that we are leaving for a week in the Okanagan. It's not very long anymore!

Hi Dan,
You are definitely thinking of "home." I like this panoramic vista and low light view, with the distant pink of the sunrise visible. There is that fresh pristine quality of wildnerness that signifies the area so well. Good work, Dan, and a nice stitch job.

Wow, Dan. This is an excellent panorama. The large image is most impressive, and I can't see a single seam. And to have done that handheld -- wow! Hope you enjoy the wonderful summer, it'll probably be coooler than "winter" in Singapore!
