Photographers Note
I arrived back in Singapore this morning from 2.5 weeks home in Canada. A great trip spent with friends and family.
This first shot comes from atop Whistler Mountain, lokking across to Blackcomb and it's visible ski runs.
I hope you like the shot...

le vert des plantes et la neige ressortent trčs bien ici. J'ai l'impression que tu étais un peu en hauteur pour cette POV??
Dommage que le ciel eut été nuageux!

Hi Dan,
welcome back. Good to hear that you had a good time in Canada. As we are quite dying for heat attacks in Europe it is nice to see such a fresh shot. The beauty of this landscape looks quite unreal ... a bit like a fake. Would love to get some of the snow.
I like it.

hello Dan,
a very special image, with great colors and good view. the patches of snow in the foreground add so much to the picture. I like the composition a lot. I just think the depth of field is not best.

It seems that you missed home, Dan.
Wonderful lanscape shot, so sharp and clear. I can feel a cool refreshing wind coming out of this picture, in this hot Middle East night.
Beautiful.

Well Dan Welcome back to Trek earth. There is of course a wonderful sense of having seen some wonderful beauty in nature when you return from Whistler area. Perhaps a decision to return next year...at least I know I want to return here asap.
A very nice setting and a wonderful scene here Dan. I see you had a few clouds in the sky. In my time there I hardly had any clouds at all. I love the alpine setting and the balance in this scene. Nice work Dan and its great to have you back!

the sight is spectacular, and refreshing in those times of hot wave;-) my only regret is that I find the overall shot very blurred. i cannot find any spot in focus. or is it me?
welcome back Dan!

This is sure a different view than we're used to - covered with snow and lots of skiers. How was your trip? It must feel good to get into the mountains and forests. Great shot!

Usually ski areas aren't particularly attractive in summer, but this one is! This is a very well-framed shot--the semi-panoramic form is ideal. Just two small complaints: in a landscape you don't want anything blurred like the tree at lower left, and the sky may be slightly oversaturated. Very effective overall, though. Regards, Ken.

Hi Dan,
Just like a watercolour painting. I like the tonality here; its like you were using a fine brush and creating a rich pallette of colour but without any oversaturation at all. The warm summery look of the foreground contrasts so well with the patches of snow. Very well captured. I hope you enjoyed your trip home. You likely left before the fire hit Galiano Island, which is still being battled. I am looking forward to more of your B.C, shots.

Very attractive mountain view Dan; you must have been quite high up to be at snow level in July. It has a painted look to it. Did you use neatimage?

Hi Dan,
That trip must have gone by quickly, eh? Well, you came back with a fantastic shot! I love the view over Blackcomb. The colourful flowers in the foreground with the trees are beautifully captured. Great composition with great details and amazing sharpness. Excellent work, Dan!
Greetings,
Ann

Hello dan
I like this shot as it is well composed and has a lot of details.
I feel a little uncomfortable with the colors on the mountain,I will guess that it is due to the dirty snow covering much of the mountain.
The DOF gives a good sense of grandeur here.
Have a good WE.

Hi Dan
A very beautiful and almost unreal scene with those colours this way. Wonderful picture.
