Photographers Note

In the smaller cities of South Italy one can still find old artisan workshops long since disappeared elsewhere. In Matina Franca is a small town in the province of Taranto (48.000 inhabitants) on a hill (430 m) above the Val d'Itria, known particularly for the typical trulli , stone houses with a conical roof (see for example Silvio's shot from Alberobello) and for the summer opera Festival della Val d'Itria.

Che belli i cesti di vimini! Per fortuna che da qualche parte in Italia si possono trovare ancora le vere botteghe dei piccoli artigiani..anche in Toscana ne ho viste parecchie.

Hallo Günther,
schöne Ansammlung der Körbe und als Foto gut aufgebaut mit dem dezentralen Ansatz und der Tür dazu. Handwerk ist eines der vielen Themen, die mir sehr gefallen. Die Farben sind sehr prachtvoll. Ein Mensch, der etwas Leben hineinbringt, das wäre es gewesen.

Interesante fotografia, me gusta la composición que has creado, un lugar sencillo pero lleno de contrastes y bellas texturas, la perspectiva es diferente, sin duda es un tema muy grafico y lleno de fuerza, has demostrado tener buen ojo fotográfico para descubrir trabajos como este.

Rien ne peut me faire plus plaisir que cette photographie, mon ami Guenther. En effet, retrouver les vieilles boutiques dépourvues de devanture, simplement fermées par des volets pliants. C'est une époque que l'on pensait révolue. Une excellente photographie. Un grand merci pour le partage.

Olá Guenther, what a nice and funny scene from this curious basket shop. Baskets all over make a wonderful graphic effect and I like the way you composed it in the horizontal with the other door. Well seen and captured.
