Photographers Note

The abbay of Villers-la-Ville , despite being only ruins, is still huge.
It was founded by St Bernard in 1147, the church being built between 1198 and 1209.
Damaged by the Spains in the 16th century, it was taken during the French revolution and the Austrians destroyed the abbey where the French army stayed...

It should be y quiet area, but on the day I visited it, there was a concert around, so the noise level was quiet huge in some areas.

Hallo Didier!
Here the point of view couldn't be better. It emphasizes the mangnificence of these ruins in an impressive way. The play of light and shadows is great here - a wonderful photo!

I like this abbey/these ruins and the surrounding area very much, most of the time it is a place of peace and quiet ;-). Very good POV and excellent details/colours. Have a nice WE. TFS

Intéressant ces ruines, mais lŕ franchement je préfčre la tour d'alsace, la seule chose ce que le ciel est nettement mois bleu ici est un signe pour Pixel et les Bleus ;-)

De belles couleurs sous cette bonne lumičre pour ces ruines encore impressionnantes. Un POV bien choisi qui leur donne beaucoup de relief.

Comme quoi il ne faut pas aller loin chez nous pour voir quelques choses de bien..!
Bon cadrage de cette belle abbaye de Villers-la-Ville, une bonne lumičre et belles couleurs également.

Hello Didier,

Splendides ruines couvertes de lierres ! Ce qui est bien avec les photographies c'est qu'elles nous épargnent le bruit de ce concert et nous laissent nous plonger dans cet univers de calme !
La lumičre était un peu dur mais tu t'en es trčs bien sorti !
