Photographer's Note

Hello friends in TE.

This picture was taken from the highest viewing platform of the Langkawi Cable car. Right on top, you will see two more smaller viewing area like the one can be seen here. The shot was taken against the hazy evening sky at you can see small islands on the left frame for some idea of the height.

Langkawi Cable Car covers a total distance of only 2.2 km linking the Base Station at the foothill of Machinchang to the overruling height of the Top Station which gives a commanding views of Langkawi from the western sea cost. The Cable Car system with its coherent concept and masterplan of Gunung Machinchang has united all the attractive features to attract tourists from all over the world.

To fully appreciate the stunning views, a lot has to do with the prevailing weather conditions, so if it is overcast or raining, it may be best to wait for a clearer day. There are two viewing stations and it is possible to get off and rejoin the cable car at station one. A walking trek from Station one, uphill to Station two has been carved through the vegetation allowing a refreshing walk through the forest.

Thanks for viewing
