Photographers Note

The lighthouse with a beautiful sunset taken from the beach of the sea resort of St Georges de Didonne, taken before the firework of the french national day.
The light on the horizon is the light of a ferry crossing on the "estuaire de la Gironde".

Superb composition with smooth blue waters and a smashing red tone to go with it from the sunset. Very good detail from the lighthouse - Really like the exposure you used. Well done.

Hi Jean,
Very nice colors in this majestic long exposure. The f/22 borne stars and 30 sec. silky texture go very well. The lighthouse is perfectly placed, but i think the third star is too close to the border (who cares...)

Je ne sais pas si les couleurs sont proches de la réalité ( mais c'est toujours difficile avec les couchers de soleil ) , mais cette image est une merveille . Par ses contrastes , et surtout sa composition . Le ferry éclairé que l'on devine ŕ l'horizon est la touche finale ...

A well above average sunset, with magnificent colours in the sky and water, and sharp capture of the lights. I love the ship on the horizon. Perhaps it is a little too sharp, but the sky colours more than make up for that.

Hello Jean,

Belle vue sur ce phare. L'image semble ętre un crop assez important mais tu as su garder une trčs bonne qualité d'image. J'aime beaucoup les couleurs chaudes du ciel et du phare et la petite ouverture t'a permis de créer de trčs belles étoiles.
Le choix du cadrage est parfait ici.
Bravo !

Suberbe, coloré bien travaillé pour la lumičre et ce cadrage qui donne une partition de l'image mettant en évidence la "presqu'ile" du phare.
Bon je vois, il n'y a pas qu'en Bretagne qu'il y a des jolies choses.

les tranches de couleurs horizontales mais surtout ce ciel dégradé rougeoyant dominant une mer clame et bleue, c'est trčs joli. Les lumičres en étoiles donnent bien.
Un format panoramique avantageux.

Bonsoir Jean,

L'utilisation d'un trépied et d'un temps d'exposition de 30 secondes ont donné d'excellents résultats. Le coucher de soleil donne des couleurs de feu au ciel, au phare et une belle couleur bleue ŕ la mer. Les ombres des rochers de l'avant-plan et des arbres qui entourent le phares sont des complément ŕ la composition. Bonne soirée.

Excellente composition avec ce phare qui monte haut dans le ciel comme pour mieux apprécier la vue.
Les étoiles formées par la pause sur les lampadaires sont énormes!!! Ce qui est amusant, c'est que le phare (bien sűr) n'est pas éclairé, lui.

This is a beautiful sunset photo!
The stars made by the street posts and the lighthouse are really what stands out the most but for me the layers created by the foreground, sea, and background made by the sky are simply fantastic and may be the ones that I like the most.
Specially the sky with all those colours like a 'dégradée'.

J'apprécie beaucoup cette image bien que le fichier soit trop petit ŕ 64 Ko, je suppose que tu as fait un crop qui a diminué le nombre de pixels; peu importe, vu la taille la définition n'est pas affectée.
Je me suis permis une petite fantaisie en WS histoire de m'amuser un peu.

what can I say - beautiful photo! the starlights create a dramy effect, and the gradient sky certainly adds to the mood of the scene. I like a lot how the long exposure has transformed the water in the foreground. the composition that emphasises horizontal lines works really well to convey the calm and tranquility of the moment. excellent work, my compliments.
