Photographer’s Note
That day, I left the office early...
On my way home, I dropped in to this park nearby to relax a bit...
It was there that I spotted this very old man...
He came with his son, who was a gardener...
While his son got engrossed in his routine work, he laid down on the grass enjoying the mildly warm sunlight...
He looked so satisfied, unmoved by the world around him and at peace with himself...
It felt as if he was done with his ‘Karma’...
His presence made me think about him...
He would have lived countless days and have millions of stories to tell...
For his dear ones, he would be so important, loved and respected...
but everything will vanish one day...
As they say, we all are sent with a ‘purpose’...
we live our lives...and then leave, quietly...
And the life goes on...
I felt so small, so mortal against the continuity of life...
Whether I’m here or not, it’ll go on and on...
It was a lazy winter evening...

The notes up to "It felt as if he was done with his ‘Karma’..." are enough, cause the rest of the notes change the mood and the interst fades away from the shot.
The shot is beautifuly composed with the different tones in green quite visible.
This is something in the culture of haryana that the old men either play cards making a lot of noise, or just spread the gamcha and take a nap.
As such this shot truly belongs to Trek earth.
Haryana is a big place, so you need to mention the city also.
Take care, Darpan

Ahh, this is wonderful. I don't know if he could have been photographed at a better angle. I like how he remains anonymous. I can really feel his comfort...it translates really well.
I am not too sure about the border... but that's just me. As I am only beginning in photography, I tend to like photographs as they are taken. I don't like to edit my photos, I'll only do it if it's the only option. I may change my opinion on that later...
You were at the right place at the right time!

Interesting subject and striking composition. The shoes and cane are well positioned, the bright colors also help to make it special. Great one!

A wonderful image! The sharpness is fantastic as is the composition. The photo alone tells a beautiful story but your note makes it even more special. TFS.

What a nice composition, Darpan !
An unusual subject too, as normally the shirt is less neat, the grass less green and the shoes more tired...
Your note explains very well the context and is interesting,
Well done and best regards,
Cath.

Hello Darpan
Perhaps one of your best you've posted here so far...very original & quite radical. Framing is very well done with fine balance between the three elements. The lush green grass offers a nice carpet here. Good work Darpan!

As soon as I saw this photo I thought of Lodhi Gardens in Delhi. Is this where it was taken? The picture is beautifully composed, with the positioning of the man, his hand, the shawl, the cane and his shoes and socks, set against the brilliant green of the grass. So many stories here. A unique shot. Nothing ordinary. Thank you.
