The camera is a tool. a tool does not think. Behind the tool there is my eye and behind my eye, my brain. Each brain is single. At the time of the catch, it made its choice. The photographic act is a mental thing. There is no objectivity.

When I compare the number of photographs which I retain with that of my catches, the proportion is weak, but that nevertheless can, in my eyes at least, to justify my existence.
