Photographer's Note

I am taking a brief break from my New England trip photo series to post this picture. Per invitation from Sarju, a friend of mine in TE, to take a photo around the time of equinox, the time turning from Summer to Autumn, I was out to take a few pictures at 22:23GMT, Sep 22, 2005, or 3:23pm in Los Angeles. This picture was taken around that time, not exactly on that minute, but it is well in the 15 minutes spec :D

From season changing-wise, Los Angeles is a boring place. The weather does not change much between seasons. The term "sunny and mild" can be used to describe the weather in Los Angeles almost everyday. I took this one in Los Angeles Dockweiler Beach, western of LAX. The foreground plants are ice plants (Cryophytum crystalinum), which can grow in dry sandy soil. The sign on the road wrote as "Hang Glider Crossing", which is an area a hang glider school providing lessons. I waited for a long time, to have a biker cross this area. Step forward from this point, the entire beach was quiet, it was clean and almost empty. In the stretch of miles of beach, I found only three ladies there to enjoy the sunny weekday afternoon on the beach, as you can see in WS.
