Naveen - in itself this is a fine reportage shot and I know it distresses you but could you not give us a little more detail about what is happening here? TrekEarth is supposed to be for learning about the Earth through photography. I know that cow slaughter does goes on in india but thought it would generally be a covert affair - this seems very blatant. A little more explanation re the context (was it for a 'special' occasion, were the people non-Hindu, etc. etc) would be very much appreciated. Rich

Deserving of points just for the note. And the photo is excellent also with just the right atmosphere - all of the waves of immigrants would have looked towards the city and, with time, moved on there.
