I like the simplicity of the photo, the ship with it's strong red color, and the contract with the modern architecture in the back.
It's good that you kept a wide view.

the foto doesn't seem sharp, maybe I am mistaken, but I would use a sharpening tool before posting.

This is when I like TE at it's best . . . a photo with a good note.

Thank you for telling the story about this village . . . thank you for the photo . . . I like the contrast of the beige world . . . blue sky and the girl . . . a splash of color going through a door with the same color as the sky.
The composition is funny with the dog placed on the wall looking to the girl.
Less funny is the roofs . . . indicating that the houses are poor . . . but I could be mistaken! . . .

Central Europe is a plce for B&W . . . India is color!
good composition . . . bit too much red, but it's sort of ashion to blast colors nowadays . . . would have liked to see the woman's face . . . still . . . incredible shot!

I'm not looking for the beautiful pictures on TE, but the ones that tell a story . . . and starting the day with a smile is the best thing that can happen!
6 'traktors' (as my daughter calls them - she loves machines . . .!) flattened in a perspective . . . it seems thay have hardly any space to move . . . as if they are eating the town . . .
good shot . . . also technically with good colors and details in the shadows.

I think it is a good photo, but it belongs on TL and not TE.
I don't see the connection between the child and the info about the shopping center to be important enough to be presented as 'learning about the world'. The photo has more merrit on itself :)

Good photo . . . when I saw the thumb I wondered what I could learn from it . . . but as soon as it started to load . . . I knew the monument.
The composition is good . . . the tilted line is somewhat distracting . . .
still . . . simple and effective.

It has been (too) long since I visited your photo's . . . and my eyes came across this one.
I enjoyed the note . . . and I'm beginning to wonder if your portfolio is starting to become the travelers guide to Budism :) . . . all you need now are some more places in China and you're complete :)

After reading the note and looking at the photo . . . I must say I like the note better . . . something is not feeling good . . . maybe the sky was washed out and you tried to correct it . . . I don't know.
Like Henk (oochappan) sais; India is impossible without color . . . but with this level of saturation I could immagine a B&W.
sorry for the critique . . . I mean it well :)

points are off . . . so it's all in bare honesty.

As one world . . .
when Bush was re-elected it was clear that we would have to wait 4 years to clean up the mess . . . I never thought that the mess would be so big!

Oh yes . . . and how we missed it!

But finally a normal winter again . . . I spend hours cleaning up around the house . . . building 'sniega vieršu' for my daughter . . . :)
And finally the snow was on the trees again . . . I like that in your photo . . . I like the composition but above all the feeling :)

maybe a bit more sharpening :)

I clicked on the thumb because I found the photo boring to look at, but I thought the note would certainly correct this.
However without a note is useless to post it on TrekEarth. The meaning of this site is to learn about the world and it's nice to know there are female soldiers in India, but for the rest I don't learn anything.

nice to see that the rikshaws are now also entering the streets of NY :) Good effect with the moving cam!
Although I like the frame, you better do not use it again, it's not allowed on TE! (on TL it is), and if the moderators will find it, it will be removed - including with the critiques people wrote.

About your note, the EXIF data are helpful, but it is possible to show it on the left, it would be more helpful if you explain what technique you used when taking the photo and post processing.
