    Bruno

    Hi Tale
I find it difficult to comprehend the lack of comments this photo had. For me it’s just perfect…
The composition and POV are simply fantastic, and there are no visible problems with the DOF. The colours are vibrant and the detail is exquisite.
Even the poetic feel of the scene was captured, with just a glimpse of an open window to peek into.
No one element is shouting for attention, but all of them call on the eye in its own subtle way…

    Again, Fantastic!

    Hi Jen
This photo reflects almost perfectly the vision I have of the more traditional part of Ireland.
The composition is nice but due to the weather conditions it resulted in overexposure. That had an impact in the saturation of the colours, and on the overall "feel" of the picture. A small amount of PP should be able to correct this, though.
One thing I love is the detail and texture present throughout the picture. That roadside wall is awesome, and the mountains and houses in the distance add perspective ;)
The size of the frame you used was excessive and the photo was a bit small... With a smaller frame, its impact would certainly be bigger ;)

Nonetheless I liked the picture, so congratulations and thanks for sharing
    Bruno

ps: I really liked this picture, so I made a workshop to illustrate some of the improvements I suggested in the critique.

Hi Czaldy, finally I get the chance to catch up with my critiques :)
I love the way you filled the view with colour, but without making it look “bloated”.
The composition is excellent and the smiling children a fantastic detail.
You found the perfect way to show the joy and amusement surrounding this festival.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing ;)

    Hi Rabin
I love this photo, it perfectly illustrates the vision I have of Japanese temples... The mood here is just fantastic.
On a more technical side, the composition is really good… that “green frame” is just perfect, and colours are softer, as one expects from a scene like this.

    Another great one ;)

    Hola Elias
What a fabulous place this must be... I'd never tell this was a private lagoon. That must be an excellent place to relax :)
The photo’s POV is good, but I think a horizontal orientation would be a bit more suited… You could then take advantage of the pathway to give a more “dramatic” effect to the house. Also, the sea level is a bit tilted, but that can be easily solved with a bit of PP.

    Very nice, congratulations

I just love the POV and DOF you choose for this picture. The blurred fountain in the background worked out really well, and the sharp colours and forms of the woman’s kimono gave it the perfect contrast...

I loved this one. The "looking up" POV worked great and the theme was well chosen. The colours are bright and sharp, and the flower pots are a nice touch. It's a pity for all those A/Cs...
Considering the strong geometric component of the composition (a bit redundant, I know), you should have tried to center the lamp a bit more, and cut a little bit in the right side... I'll submit a workshop to show you what I mean.

This is a very good picture, congratulations

    Olá Rui,
welcome to TrekEarth. I hope your stay here is long, fruitful and above all fun.
I like the composition, but those two people in the right are a bit distracting...
The horizon is a bit tilted, but that is easily solved with a little PP.
You should consider posting larger photos, it's a bit difficult to see the details in this size.

I just love photos of Japanese festivals as they're always filled with colour and movement.
