    Phil,
I used to be a analogue guy and only recently explored digital photography. You have captured a good shot here Phil. This type of scene happens right in front of us everyday, it's just a matter of just getting the right setting on the camera to make a worthwhile subject to be captured. I think a better title to the picture can complement the picture more. TFS Andre

I was browsing through your gallery and noticed that you have a certain unique style. Your thumbnail view of this shot got my attention immediately. Your notes was very helpful to understand the situation. The picture noise certainly could have been better but i guess it is the capability of the camera then. Anyway a interesting composition. I would have like to see more of their missing feet though. TFS Andre

A nice early morning shot of the Penang Bridge framed by the boats. I believe a couple more minutes more the lights on the bridge would have been switched off. I find a slight distraction from the protruding platform on the left as my eyes keep wondering there to figure out what it was. TFS Andre

First a warm welcome to TE. A nice action shot you have here. You are see that they are not sparing their punches. You can also feel that those watching are much into the fight as well with their fists clenched and perhaps waiting for their turn. You made a right decision in going low for this shot as it gives a better impact for sure and waiting for the moment when both were in the air. I am not sure, but if you had captured another shot of the two guys with both their shadows in the frame, it may be a interesting compositon as well. TFS Andre

    David,

I saw the opening ceremony and the lighting of the cauldron (on TV, Lucky you:-)). It was certainly a taxing task for the horse. I almost thought that they could not make it to the top. On this shot I would say you had a excellent all round exposure. There was hardly any overexposed areas and those in the shadows came out nicely. Did you by any chance have a panaromic view of the stadium? Maybe you can stitch a couple of shots together. TFS Andre

Was browsing through your gallery and this shot hit me. A powerful composition indeed. The people there are most probably immune to these kind of sights along their five foot ways. Seeing these kinds of shots sometimes knocks one back to reality. It was also by chance that the word 'Vision' is in the background. If those in power over there has more vision, they should not be squabling and focus attention to such plights. TFS Andre

A nice capture of also one of the most photographs landmarks in the world. I like the different shades that you have captured. Low hanging clouds, sunlight blocked on certain parts etc. The exposure certainly did come out pretty good. Pity that there are no ships sailing below the bridge. That would have added nicely to the composition. TFS Andre

From your thumbnail view, this shot attracted me immediately. It is certainly a interesting shot. The stairs in the background is certainly a kind of a distraction for sure as I find my eyes keep going there. I am not sure if you explored other angles that you can use instead of taking a direct shot like you did. If I had time there I would explore a very early morning sunlight on this figurine.

A interesting perspective of the St Paul's through the trees. There could still be a couple of steps that you can take to make this picture even better. First I would have loved to see the top of the dome. I believe by just taking a few steps forward and slightly to the right you will have the correct angle. Another thing that you could try would be to see how the shot would come out if you underexposed the shot by 1 to 1.5 stops to reduce the over exposed leaves. Otherwise a good effort here and a nice shot coming out from your camera. TFS Andre

First a warm welcome to TE. From the three shots you have posted so far I can see that you have a distinctive style and you have a good eye. A very excellent compostion you have here. A very unusual costume to me. The details are very sharp. A few notes would have been helpful for us here. I would crop away the pillar on the left. You must also help me out here on how to pronounce your name. TFS Andre

A nice composition you have here. Both the deadwood and eagle are equally complimentary. It would have been great if the eagle had a fish in its talons. Very good sharpness and the clear blue sky gave a very excellent background to this shot. TFS Andre

A excellent shot of the action and good DOF as well. The evening light was just nice on the subject and giving a light shadow as well. Definitely the robe will not hold in a professional football game, one pull and everything comes off but one may still win the game though by surprising the opponent.

    Vincent,

Very nice warm colors you have captured here and also a nice POV. I must visit Burma very soon as it is very nearby where I am. My only comment on this picture is that I may move a little more to the right to capture more of the steps leading up and giving more space in between the building and the foreground plant.
