Halo's are normaly caused by useing backlight reduction on the PP, not by sharpening.
Wrote this several times already to few members who used this technique, but to no avail. ...

Yes, it was hand helded.
Focus on the horizon, never aim directly upon the sun.
Not accidental, the other photos taken at that time have same colors cast and looks almost as this main...
