To elihesamian: Zion

I will add it to the notes as well, but it's part of the canyon carved by the Virgin River. It's fairly narrow allowing for some really unique background opportunities.

To walktowilli: Hey Walktowilli

This is the Pictured Rocks in Michigan. This lake borders Canada and the US in the midwest. That's actually Lake Superior. Thanks for the nice comments.

photoblog linking

Hey Adam,

How do we know if a photo we posted gets picked up in a photo blog? Is Trekearth affiliated with any blogs? Does TrekEarth encourage or discourage posting? I sit here a little uneasy...

Comments required per picture posted

There is a way to require two posts per person. I have seen it done quite successfully on other sites. Whether asking people to comment twice per shot posted, is that too much? Maybe I am...

part II of My Good Stuff

I have always believed that if everyone left 3 comments for every photograph posted meant that every photo would have at least 3 comments. Now, because there are some people who can't seem to make 3...

My idea of good stuff. ;)

I always enjoy seeing threads like this on photo sites as it means that people on the site act as a community and care about it's existence.

I have always found that in order to receive a lot of...

Sigma 15-30

I own the Sigma 15-30 and by far it is the best lens in my bag, even with it's heavy weight. Sharp even deep in the corners and love it's flexibility. Wouldn't think I could get away with saying...

Re: Request for new medium

If the decision is made to have a Digital category then you would add two categories... Digital Color and Digital B&W. This would bring the categories up to 4. I don't know that there is a need to...

Re: Somewhere in a small country....Message of THANKS!

Sites like this really help encourage one to continue their little hobby. What always impressed me was how quickly everyone improves with just a couple simple suggestions on each of their photos. ...

Re: for Smiley

Thanks Momshu. I just know that when I started shooting I had some great people who really helped me along. I only hope that I can be as helpful as those who taught me.

Re: Categorized Threads...

Yea, I just want a little more organization in the threads as I tend to look for the more technical info.

That's an interesting point about members moving the threads around. I would have no...

Categorized Threads...

I have a question for you guys. Is Trek Earth big enough to have Categorized threads much in the way we have Categorized Photos? Something to help us sort the threads to find information quicker.

Re: Preferred Film Stock

I skew heavily towards print film (Fuji 100 speed) but that is not typical of pro's. For outdoors, most of the pro's shoot Provia 100, Velvia 40, and just a smattering use the new Velvia 40 or the...

It would not pop up unless you want it to. So if you prefer the old way, you could still do it the old way. If you want to read the entire thread at once, you could use the pop up. Seems really...

Re: View Full Thread Pop Up

Ok, I have another suggestion. In the forum threads where you get 2 or 3 individual replies down, it's not a big deal to hit "Back" 2 or 3 times to get back to the main page. When there are like 10...
