Hello Claudia,
The children don't seem very attentive, but it's still a very nice gathering of colourful people. I like the vertical format that gives such prominence to the fantastic details of the architecture. If only there had been just a tiny bit more space at the bottom so their feet hadn't been partly cut off.
A great composition anyway.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Gert-
Thanks for your kind words and comments. I agree with you that it would've been nice to have the children more attentive and also have more space at the bottom of the photo. I actually did have a tiny wedge of tile at the bottom but it wasn't straight (I took this looking up at them) so I cropped it out. I have a few more versions of this scene. Maybe another version has the children in a better pose. Thanks again for your comments. Claudia |

Hello again,
My comments on the children's behaviour were in no way intended as criticism of your photo. I just observed that kids have so much more on their minds than listening to boring adults. Cheers, Gert |

Hi once more-
I didn't take offense to what you said. I really appreciate it when people (photographers) point out things I may have overlooked. Or suggest things that could make the photo even better! I've only been back from Thailand a few days and, overall, am not happy with most of the photos I took. I was so looking forward to coming home with a few gems, but so often the light wasn't right (I was somewhere in mid-day) or the sky was washed out. Anyway, I really appreciate your feedback. Thanks again. |
