Hello Tom,
I know that one of the historic covered bridges in New England (I believe in Vermont) was washed away by flooding caused by Hurricane Irene. Was it one of your beloved bridges? And what about your home and family? Are you alright.
My deepest sympathies.

Hi Bulent,
Lots of flooding, with many bridges compromised. Two covered bridges were destroyed in Vt. One I'm familar with is in Woodstock, Vt. My home town of Schenectady was hard hit with the Mohawk River going way over its banks doing alot of damage to the historic Dutch Stockade area. I live on high ground so suffered no flood damages or down trees. Thanks for your kind thoughts Tom O'Donnell |
