Great holmertz 2016-01-11 2:10

Hello Lisa,
You'll have to excuse me, but the first question that entered my mind when reading your fascinating and well written note was how you all smelled after a week in Mungo Park. ;-)
These rocks are beautifully shaped and they are probably best photographed in this warm light and the distinct shadows (not only those of the photographers). But this is a case where the note, describing the conditions of the visit - physically and culturally - is essential for the full appreciation of the photo. I think that is an essential part of the TE idea of learning about the world.
Kind regards,
Gert

Smile To holmertz: Fragrant

Ciao dear Gert

hehehehe, "fragrant" would be a nice word

Actually we weren't too stinky as we'd driven our own water in and had an icebox that stayed cold for 5 days with full provisions. We were eating cheese n biscuits, burritos, tira mi su and drinking cold champagne for New Years Eve. Our deprivations were not too bad hehehehehe.

Thanks again for your kind words, have a great day
Lisa
