Great macjake 2021-07-14 22:31

Hi Paul
reading your note, its always interesting to hear what local guides believe tourists should see or not see. Often, its the opposite of what we want! interesting too, to hear you say alot of locals prefer to live on the water than dry land. So different from our cultures. I would love to see the inner city shots, of modern buildings, sky scrapers etc....just to compare. these have been very educational for me. great posts
cheers
Craig

Default To macjake: The modern city

Thank you Craig,

Although Brunei is the second most prosperous country in Southeast Asia after Singapore, you will find few similarities between the two.
The capital of Brunei, Bandar Seri Begawan, seemed quite modern and comfortable to live in.
But I haven't seen any modern architecture that I suspect might interest you.

I also didn't see real high-rise buildings like in Singapore.

The population for the entire country was also only 464,000 in 2020.

Of course I may have missed something ... but this site also doesn't show photos of other members of buildings where I think you might be interested in their architecture.

Kind regards,
Paul
