Good maki 2006-07-21 6:54

Zdravo,
They aren't unique in BiH, there are plenty of places with stecci in this country (I saw some of them). This picture is a little bit overexposed (too strong sun), but the whole countryside with this graves is nice,

Stecak are monumental, medieval Bosnian tombstones that were erected primarily by followers of the independent Bosnian Church.
Appearing in the 11th century, the stecci reached their peak in the late 14th to 15th centuries, before dying away during the Ottoman occupation.
Although a few are found in Croatia and Montenegro, the vast majority are found within the borders of Bosnia-Herzegovina – 60000 in all.
