Great raytheron 2007-12-30 15:09

Superb, Paul! Vibrant composition and great lighting; well spotted! I took the liberty of doing a bit of workshop work on it, just for interest's sake. But this is a great image. Thanks for sharing.

I would have to agree that the photo may need a little more lighting. I think one thing that I fear is brightening up the snow too far and loosing the details. I do like the workshop don't get me wrong. Its just that when you take a photo you try and post the light intensity just as you saw it instead of how the computer program interprets it. Oh, I quite agree with you. I do find, though, that with digital cameras I end up doing a bit more "darkroom" work than I used to have to with film, because the CCDs tend to register light differently. And I don't consider that cheating :) as I used to do the same before, just much more laboriously and in a darkroom.
